Bhimtal Lake

Bhimtal Lake, one of the most famous lakes in India, is located in the Bhimtal town of the north Indian state of Uttarakhand & about 9 km from resort. An island at the centre of the Lake is a famous tourist attraction and also houses an aquarium with a variety of fish species and a temple. In the Kumaon region, which is also known as the Lake district of India, the Bhimtal lake is the largest lake and supplies drinking water to the town and supports aquaculture in the region. Today, the lake has been opened for tourists and has a variety of activities in and around the lake. Morning walks are especially recommended for those who want to avoid the tourist crowd.

Nainital

Nainital, the charming Himalayan lake town, is a picture-postcard perfect hill-station and one of the most popular in Northern India. Commonly known as the ‘Lake District’, Nainital is nestled high up in the Kumaon Himalayas at an altitude of around 2,000 m above sea level & about 24 km from resort. The town is centred around the emerald mountain lake Naini, which on most days is dotted with colourful sailboats. According to mythology, the lake is believed to have been formed when the eyes of goddess “Sati” fell at this spot while her body was being carried by Lord Shiva after her death.Famous Snow View Point is 26 km and Nainital Zoo is 26 km, Maa Naina Devi Temple is about 24 km and Eco Cave Park is 25km from the resort.

Victoria Dam

Victoria Dam is a 40 ft high dam located at the end of Bhimtal Lake. There are terraced flower gardens on both sides of the dam. This dam offers mesmerising natural views to the tourists. Beautiful wild flowers adorning the gorge attract a large number of tourists to the place. The Bhimeshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva is located next to the dam.

Naukuchiatal

This happens to be the Prima donna for nature lovers in this region. The serenity of the lake and the splendid lush greens will enamour you by its sheer brilliance. Tourists are often seen enjoying Mountain biking, fishing, parasailing and boating. The magnificent mountain range, colourful butterflies, Himalayan birds and the iridescent bluish water calls for picture-perfect postcard images.It is located 17km from the location.
While you stroll down the idyllic lake the fragrance of woody forests amalgamates with the mist and makes you feel tranquil and at peace. Though Naukuchiatal Lake can be visited any time of the year.

Nal Damyanti Tal

Nal Damyanti Lake in Bhimtal is a small natural lake located about 2 km from Bhimtal. This placid lake is considered to be sacred in the town. According to locals, Nal Damyanti Tal in Bhimtal is an ancient King Nal, and his entire palace was submerged in the water at Tal. His wife Damyanti was frying the fish at the time, and the burn marks on the fish in the lake can still be seen.
While the stories and the Tal’s association with Satyug in the Hindu Epochs or Kal make this place very interesting. The beauty of the landscape, as well as a lake full of fish with exquisite burn marks, is what makes it one of the best-unexplored destinations that people like us keep looking for.

Hanuman Garhi

Good holy place, very huge idol of Hanuman, surrounding scenery is mind blowing. Great view of Bhimtal can be seen from this place. Children and senior citizens will like this place much. Shops of daily goods are available nearby so you can purchase as per your needs. rched at a height of 6,401 feet from sea level, this famous temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, an avid devotee of Lord Rama and Sita Mata. The temple was constructed by a famous local saint, Baba Neem Karoli, in the year 1950.

Bhimeshwara Mahadev Temple

Bhimeshwar Mahadev temple is situated in a beautiful place with heavenly view. This temple is situated in Bhimtal in Nainital district, Uttarakhand. It is an old Shiv temple located in the banks of Bhimtal lake. This temple got its name after the powerful Mahabharata character Bhim. According to the Skand Purana, once upon a time Bheem travelled to Himalayas all by himself.It is believed that this temple was constructed or renovated around 17th century by the Baz Bahadur. He was the king of the Chand Dynasty.

Hidimba Parvat

Located in the outskirts of the town, this is a hillock which is named after another character from the epic Mahabharata –Hidimba who was actually a demoness. According to mythology, Hidimba transformed herself as a beautiful lady to attract the Pandava brother - Bhima. Today, the hillock is known to harbour a large number of wildlife species and an environmentalist by the name of Vankhandi Maharaj has taken upon himself to preserve the area.

Mukteshwar

Mukteshwar is a pleasing destination situated at an elevation of 2,285mts above sea level in Nainital district of Uttarakhand state. Mukteshwar got its name from a 350year old temple Mukteshwer Dham whose residing deity is Lord Shiva. The top of the mountain on which Mukteshwar Temple stands offers astonishing and marvellous views of the imposing Himalayan range. It is located from 25kms from location.
Mukteshwar was developed by the Britishers as research and education institute (IVRI) in 1893. Perched atop a hill in a remote corner of Kumaon hills, Mukteshwar is bounded by fruit orchards and coniferous forests.

Kainchi Dham

A famous Hanuman temple located in the womb of Kumaon mountains is the Kainchi Dham.Kainchi Dham is a heaven for people who seek peace and calm.It is located 22 kms from location.
The temple was established by a local and very profound saint, Neem Karoli Baba in 1960s. It is also an ashram of Neem Karoli Baba who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Hanuman. Devotees claim to feel the divine presence of Lord Hanuman and Neem Karoli Baba at the ashram.
The Kainchi Dham got famous when in the year 1973, Steve Jobs, Ex-CEO of Apple Inc, visited the temple. Going through a stressful time in his career, Jobs came to India looking for a place where he could find answers to his questions and attain the ultimate truth of life, Nirvana, and Prajna. Jobs meditated at the ashram and went back enlightened.

Ghorakhal Temple
